What is an Assistant to the Project Owner?

You have a construction or real estate investment project, but have neither the technical knowledge nor the time to follow it through?

The use of an Assistant to the Project Owner (AMO) is an interesting alternative to help you manage the relationship with the various participants (project managers, design offices, architects, diagnosticians…).

In any construction or real estate project, the client/investor, called the Owner, has a number of duties and responsibilities, which can be very complicated for those new to the construction business.

The main function of the Project Owner’s Assistant is to assist his client in the technical control missions of the risks and viability of his project. He defends the interests of the project owner while maintaining his impartiality and neutrality with regard to all parties involved in the project.

The project owner and the assistant project owner form a team whose foundations are based on a relationship of trust.

Within the framework of your project, the project manager’s assistant will intervene on various aspects of your project:

  • Definition of the project: analyze the needs of the project owner, elaborate the specifications of the project, help in the choice of the participants.
  • Project management:coordinate the consultation of companies by reviewing the consultation file, scrutinize the responses to calls for tender, negotiate the works and services contracts and establish the final budget, ensure the monitoring of the works and their progress until completion, attend the site meetings and validate the reports, ensure the payment of the situations (monthly invoices) by the project owner.
  • Project completion: ensure the durability of the work and its proper completion by making sure that the lifting of reservations is established in due form and in compliance with the construction rules in force. To follow the Guarantee of Perfect Completion of the companies intervening on the construction site.

All these subjects must imperatively be treated under the supervision of a construction professional, which will allow the completion of your project in the best possible conditions.

So don’t hesitate any longer!
